AMOS WINEY, father of Bishop Samuel Winey, aged 83 years and 24 days. Buried the 27th in Graybill's burying-ground. Funeral services by Jacob, Thomas and William Graybill. Text: John 11:27. Bro. Amos, wife died about two years ago. They lived together about 51 years and had 13 children; 9 sons and 2 daughters are yet living, 2 daughters died in infancy. Bro. Death: 14 MAR 1878 Place: Richfield, Snyder Co, Pennsylvania Burial: Crossroads Cemetery, Perry Twp, Snyder Co, Pennsylvania Obituary: MAY 1878 Place: The Herald of Truth Note: WINEY.-March 14th, near Richfield, Snyder Co., Pa., of rheumatism, which went to the heart, from which she was sick about seventeen hours, Sister BARBARA WINEY, mother of Pre. Samuel Winey. She leaves a bereaved husband and 11 children to mourn their loss, but they mourn not as those having no hope. She was a shining light in the church, and her seat in the house of God was seldom vacant. Buried the 16th in the presence of many sympathizing friends. Services by the brethren, Jacob S.
