To wife Mary, all cattle, viz: two oxen, two cows, two yearling steers, eight swine kind, a ewe and a lamb, and all other movables. To son Samuel Tifft, 23. To son Joshua, 1s, To daughter Tabitha Tefft, 1s. and an iron pot after wife's decease. Debts to the sum of £1, 3s. to be paid equally by son-in-law Samuel Wilson and son Joshua Tift.

Details: 
The death of John1 is alluded to in a letter from Captain James Oliver, (written at the house of Richard Smith in Narragansett). He first mentions that Joshua Tefft son of John1 had married a Wampanoag. That he shot twenty times at the English in the Narragansett fight; was captured and executed at Providence, and then declared that he was a "sad wretch, who had never heard a sermon but once these fourteen years," and that "his father going to recall him, lost his head and lies unburied.
