Thomas Holmes
Born: 1626  London, England Christened:  03 NOV 1638  St. Andrews Parish, Holborne, London, England Note:  Thomas left England at the time of the Great Plague.  The Great Plague struck in London in the years 1664-65.  During 1664, about 100,000 of a population of 450,000 died in a year and 7,000 in one week.  London was quarantined.  Thomas is thought to have gone down to Norfolk to a place called Lyn where he had land; but, all placed being guarded he could not pass.  He left for Virginia in 1665 expecting to stay for just a few years.  He became sickly and could not make the money to return to England.
