| Mrs. Olive McIntyre, respected resident
of Fleming Street is dead. Mrs. Olive McIntyre who has been very sick
for some time past, died at her home on Fleming street, last Thursday, March
26, 1914, aged 78yrs & 25 days. Mrs. McIntyre whose maiden name was
Olive M. Herrick, was born in Saratoga County, New York on March 1, 1836.
She was one of a family of eight children only one of whom, her sister Mrs.
Sarah Randolph, who has lived with her for some years past, is still
remaining. At an early age she came with her parents to Michigan,
settling in Wayne County. February 20, 1858, she was married to Donald
McIntyre of Unadilla, and they settled in White Oak Twp. where they lived
until the spring of 1889 when they moved to Howell. Mr. McIntyre
passed away 6yrs ago. To this union 5 children were born, 3 of whom
survive, Mrs. John H. Smith and Mrs. Ella King of Howell and Dr. Donald
McIntyre of Montana. She was a life long member of the Methodist
church having united with the church in her early girlhood. She leaves
a host of friends who hold her in the highest esteem because of her devoted
Christian life. During their residence in White Oak she was for some
years superintendent of the M.E. Sunday School at Parker's Corners and it
was largely through her efforts that that church was maintained. She
spent the past year assisting her son to locate a claim in Montana, only
returning from there a short time before she was taken sick. The
