Details: Note the “Other Teoures”: The McComb’s owned land on about 12 and 14 Grallagh Road according to 1776 map of Rathfriland Estate. Boyds owned land across the road, about 13 Grallagh Road. I found a marriage of Samuel McKinny to Jean Boyd. They likely had a daughter Mary Ann McKinney, perhaps a son previously who also relocated to Michigan. Charles McRoberts son was likely William. William McRoberts and Mary Ann McKinney’s first child was born in 1834 and baptized in the Ballyroney Presbyterian Church. the first child was named Jane (Jean and Jane are interchangeable when spoken locally. The next child born was a boy named Charles McRoberts, following Scottish tradition of naming children after family members. In lieu of paperwork, many records destroyed by fire. My extrapolations of the facts are…working possibilities. I’ll find a way to include the map of 1776, 1863 and something more current because our common ancestors still farm much of the land in this wee valley. LML
