Details: Mrs. Stephen O. Hadley departed this life Saturday, March 11, 1893. She had been sick for nine months and during the interim suffered greatly from cancer Her maiden name was Calista Bearenger [sic]. She was 63 years old. The morning before she died she sang a hymn and selected three to be used at the funeral which was held at the Unadilla M E church Monday, March 13. Agreeable to her request she was interned [sic] on the homestead.
